[Jun 2005 – Dec 2006] EnterpriseDB PK (SMC-PVT) Limited, Islamabad 44000 Pakistan

Senior Infrastructure/Software Engineer – Full Time

Outshining in some of the most important phases of the product lifecycle of EnterpriseDB; from product development to quality assurance, from build farm production over Dos, Windows and various clones of UNIX based operating systems to product documentation, from network/infrastructure maintenance to graphics and multimedia, I have always proved my multifaceted abilities.

The responsibility of research, development and maintenance of build form included 32 and 64 bit x86, SPARC, and Mac machines running a large variety of Dos, Windows, and UNIX based operating systems and packages (QNX,Dos, MinGW/MSYS and VMWare over Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, RedHat (7.3, 9.0, EL3.0, EL4), Fedora Core (2,3,4), SuSE Professional (9.2), Free BSD, and Mac OS X). The job demanded heavy shell scripting along with the regular maintenance of the systems.

As an infrastructure resource, I have designed, developed, maintained and upgraded the PIX firewall & VPN, established another VPN over Windows 2003 Server for employees working from home, devised the FTP server, file server, database server, Visual Source Safe server, antivirus server, proxy server, video conferencing, IP phones (Vonage, Avaya), and CVS repository for EnterpriseDB infrastructure. My research and development ability in the network solutions is highly recognized throughout EnterpriseDB.

A new team named as XRAD (Xserver Research And Development) my present playground at EnterpriseDB, where I work closely with the Global Database Architect/Director Technology. I am focusing on further research and development of the product, EnterpriseDB Studio 2005, and removal of various bugs from EnterpriseDB Development Studio, programmed in JAVA2 along with my other duties as mentioned above.

NOTE: EnterpriseDB, established in November 2005 from the cream of Fusion Technologies, was announced as the best database solution in August 2005 at Linux World 2005 expo held at San-Francisco, USA, within four months after its release to international market.
